Extra Large Orthopedic Dog Beds for Large and Giant Breeds

Our XL and XXL designs balance the complete footprint with the area inside the bolsters, so the bed remains useful for dogs that sleep on their side or stretch out. One low-entry XL model measures 43 × 32 × 8 inches overall and provides a 34 × 24-inch sleeping area. Showing both measurements helps buyers understand the true resting space instead of relying only on the outside dimensions.

Low-entry designs combine a wider front opening with a reduced step-over height and supportive raised sides. In one XL model, the front opening measures 18 inches (46 cm), the entry height is 4 inches (10 cm), and the rear bolster reaches 8 inches (20 cm). The open front is easier for senior, heavy and less mobile dogs to cross.

Selected textile models feature removable washable outer covers. Available fabric directions include plush, bouclé, velvet, Oxford, linen-look and suede-like materials, depending on the model. Genuine leather is available for selected premium furniture directions and is paired with material-appropriate care information.

Selected models use non-slip dotted fabric or non-slip Oxford fabric underneath the bed. The added grip helps the bed stay more stable while a large dog steps in, turns and settles down. This is especially useful for senior dogs and for large beds placed on smooth indoor floors.

The XL and XXL range is suited to large and giant breeds, long-bodied dogs, heavier dogs and pets that prefer to sleep fully stretched out. Low-entry formats also work well for senior dogs and dogs that are less comfortable crossing a full-height bolster. The range is intended for supportive indoor rest and is not designed as a chew-proof product or as a medical treatment.
