Archova supplies two separate product directions: a reversible water-filled PVC pet cooling mat and a pre-filled gel pet cooling mat. The water model uses a fill port and four standard sizes. The gel model arrives with a sealed cooling core and does not require the pet owner to add water.

Neither structure is universally better. A water-filled mat lets the owner control the fill quantity and can pack lighter when empty, while a pre-filled gel mat is more convenient to set down and use. Retailers should compare packed weight, surface, seam design, care instructions and price position by SKU.

These water-filled and pre-filled gel models do not use electrical components. The water mat is filled through its port; the gel mat is supplied with a sealed core. Do not refrigerate or freeze a mat unless the model-specific instructions expressly allow it.

The owner adds the model-specific quantity of water, closes the inner plug and outer cap, and places the mat flat. The water creates a cooler contact surface than the dog’s body and gradually absorbs heat during use. Its feel depends on water temperature, room temperature, fill level, dog size and contact time.

The water-filled size chart specifies 500-600 g for 30 x 40 cm, 900-1,100 g for 40 x 50 cm, 1,200-1,500 g for 50 x 60 cm and 2,100-2,500 g for 60 x 90 cm. Use the final model instructions and avoid overfilling, which can place unnecessary pressure on the port and sealed edges.

Choose enough usable area for the pet’s normal resting position. A dog that sleeps stretched out needs more surface than a curled cat or small dog. The size chart provides weight and body-length guidance, but species, whole-body fit and actual resting posture should lead the choice.

The standard sizes are 30 x 40, 40 x 50, 50 x 60 and 60 x 90 cm. They are paired with guidance up to 4, 10, 15 and 35 kg respectively, but those figures are guidance rather than a fit guarantee.

There is no reliable universal number. Cooling feel changes with room temperature, airflow, dog size, mat size, fill material and contact time. Archova provides model-specific instructions and does not apply one universal fixed-hour claim across the range.

A cooling mat absorbs heat from the dog and will gradually move toward the surrounding temperature. That is normal. The water model can be refreshed according to its instructions. A gel mat may need time without body contact before it feels cooler again; follow the selected SKU’s directions.

Do not force a pet onto it. Place the mat beside a familiar resting area, allow investigation, and reward voluntary contact. Some pets dislike a slick, cool or moving surface, so keep another resting option available and let the pet move away.

Yes, when the selected mat size lies flat, does not obstruct the door, and leaves the dog enough room to move off the cooling surface. Do not confine a dog so it must remain on the mat, and do not use a puncturable mat in a crate with a dog that chews or digs.

A cooling mat can be an added comfort surface during supervised travel, but it does not make a hot vehicle safe. Keep airflow and drinking water available, check the dog frequently and never leave a pet in a parked car.

Use them only in shaded, clean areas when the selected model permits it. Direct sun, hot ground, rough concrete, sharp debris and prolonged wet exposure can heat or damage the mat. Bring the mat indoors after use and inspect the seams, surface and port.

No. Direct sun can heat the surface and place extra stress on the material and sealed edges. A cooling mat should support a shaded rest area, not be used to justify keeping a dog outside in unsafe heat.

The water-filled PVC mat is waterproof on both sides, and the gel model uses a waterproof outer layer. Waterproof describes the surface material; a puncture, damaged seam or improperly closed port can still leak.

Remove loose hair and wipe the surface with a damp cloth and mild pet-appropriate cleaner. Rinse only when the selected model’s instructions allow it. Clean around seams and the fill port, remove cleaner residue and dry the mat fully before folding or storage.

Do not machine-wash a sealed water or gel mat unless its care label specifically approves that method. Agitation, heat and spinning can damage the port, seams or internal core. These products are designed around wipe-clean or rinse-clean surface care.

Clean and dry the surface completely before storage. For a water-filled model, empty and dry it according to the final instructions. Store it indoors in a clean, dry place without heavy objects, sharp folds or trapped moisture.

Yes. Any sealed water or gel mat can leak if the outer layer, port or edge is damaged. Use the mat on a smooth surface, inspect it before each use and stop using it if you find moisture, swelling, an open seam or a puncture.

No. The reinforced PVC direction is intended to improve resistance to normal paw contact, not persistent biting or digging. Dogs that chew bedding should use a different cooling option and should not be left unsupervised with a water- or gel-filled mat.

Remove the mat immediately and prevent access to any liquid, gel or loose material. Follow the product label and seek veterinary advice if the dog may have swallowed the contents or develops symptoms. Do not patch and return a damaged mat to pet use unless the manufacturer provides an approved repair method.

They can provide an optional cooler resting surface for pets that are uncomfortable in warm weather. Size, surface stability and the ability to move off the mat still matter. Senior, overweight, thick-coated, giant and flat-faced pets can be more vulnerable to heat and need careful environmental management.

No. A cooling mat is a comfort accessory, not emergency treatment. Heavy panting, drooling, weakness, confusion, vomiting, collapse or abnormal breathing require immediate cooling guidance and urgent veterinary care. Always provide shade, airflow and fresh water, and avoid heat exposure in the first place.

Selected gel construction includes a textured grip bottom that adds stability on smoother indoor floors. It does not guarantee zero movement on every surface. Programs requiring this feature can specify the textured-bottom SKU and approve the base material in the pre-production sample.

Yes, subject to the selected water or gel construction, tooling, material and MOQ. Available directions can include size mix, PVC texture, print, color, labels, instructions and retail packaging. The cooling core, seam design and care method remain tied to the approved model.

Yes. Private-label options can include approved print artwork, product labels, warning and care labels, packaging artwork and exterior logo positions. Final artwork should identify whether the SKU is water-filled or pre-filled gel so the use instructions cannot be confused.

MOQ depends on the base model, size mix, custom print, branding and packaging. Samples can be quoted subject to current model availability. The sample confirmation should list the cooling structure, dimensions, surface, bottom, port or gel core, seam direction and packing method.

Separate water-filled and gel SKUs, publish usable dimensions and realistic cooling expectations, and state that the mat is not chew-proof. Show the port, seams, surface and cleaning method in separate images.
